Heritage Classical Co-op was born out of years of prayer, many longing hearts, and the clear providence of God. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed with the goal of supporting local homeschooling families. HCC meets on Wednesdays in Fayetteville, AR, from September through May. We are a parent-led community of homeschoolers pursuing classical education for our children, with Christ as the center.
What is Classical Education?
We love CiRCE Institute’s definition of Classical Education which says, that Christian Classical Education is “the cultivation of wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty by means of the seven liberal arts and the four sciences so that, in Christ, the student is enabled to better know, glorify, and enjoy God.”
At HCC, we also aim to train our children to think, write, and speak well to the glory of God, through the framework of the trivium. To this end, our curriculum uses classic literature, living books, and engaging and hands-on application in the classroom.
